What to Expect

Allow 30-45 minutes for your appointment, including 15-30 minutes of observation time after your vaccine. Please do not arrive more than 20 minutes before your appointment time. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will be considered a no-show and your dose may be given to someone else.

1.

Enter Cerner's campus via Chouteau Trafficway. After entering onto the  campus, follow directions provided by signs and/or volunteers. You may be guided to park for a short amount of time, allowing you to spend most waiting time in your car. You can also tune your radio to 100.1 FM for important information.

2.

Patients will have three options:

  • Free Assisted Parking: If drove yourself and have limited mobility, there will be volunteers available to park your car for you. Volunteers will also have your car waiting for you when you exit.

  • Drop-Off: If someone drove you to the clinic, they can drop you off at the front doors. The driver can park and wait in our Cell Phone Lot.

  • Park: You can park yourself in a nearby parking lot and walk the short distance to vaccination building

A wheelchair will be provided if necessary, from both the valet and drop-off locations.

3.

As you enter through the doors, you will be asked your first name, last name and date of birth to confirm your appointment. You will then be directed to a registration area where an Operation Safe volunteer will help you check in. If you did not already sign the Vaccination Consent Form digitally, you will be asked to sign at this time.

4.

After registration, you will be directed to a private vaccination area. A qualified medical professional will be there to prepare you for vaccination and assist in answering any questions you may have. The vaccination will be done on the upper portion of either arm, below the shoulder.

5.

You will then be directed to the Recovery Room. Here, you will wait for 15 or 30 minutes (depending on health condition) for observation. If at any point you feel ill, just raise your hand and a qualified medical professional will quickly be there to help. You will also be encouraged to provide feedback, learn more about side effects you may experience, sign up for V-Safe and celebrate your vaccination with picture-taking.

6.

After your 15- or 30-minute observation period is over, you will check out with Operation Safe volunteers and be directed to the exit. If you used valet parking, you will need to alert volunteers one minute before your time is up so your car will be waiting for you as exit.

Thank you for getting vaccinated!
